After much lurking, and even some self-serving posts, as of last night I harpooned the great (grand-touring) (titanium) gray six speed beast, with saddle two-tone leather, accents, and a 6-disk changer. The ticket to this venerable organization sits solo in my garage and, as most of y’all know, memberships has its rewards. woooohoooo

BTW, total cognitive dissonance on the way home last night when an “over-stated” electric blue 350 Z pulled up to me as I was drivng from the dealer. “Kick his ****”, “Maintain at least a minimum break in period”, I oscillated.
Then, this a.m. I struggled with, “Go to work to pay for car”, and, “Zaino, Zaino, Zaino.” As of 8:38 PST, the jury’s still out on that decision. Hope I don’t get an ulcer.
BTW, way, shouldn’t senior membership be automatically bestowed on folks who buy, as opposed to a proscribed number of posts (I’m guessing 35)? I mean, I voted with my equity line, for God’s sake.
Originally posted by EXA4DRIVER Congrats! What dealer and how much out the door? My friend is looking for a dealer that will give him the car at or close to invoice.
$500 over invoice for a special order. Browning Mazda in Cerritos, but should be able to get that, or even a tad better, most anywhere L.A.-ish for anything on the lot. I won't spend 5 hours to save a $100, but that's me. Happy to direct you to the fleet manager, however, if you wish to email me.
Enjoy the compliments that you will receive. THe car is so much fun. You will find that you want it to stay perfect (if you are like me) 1100 miles in three weeks!
