Well you should do better than I did against the F1 car.

If the track is twisty you will be fine.

If you have long straights, you'll be at the back of the pack.

It also depends on the drivers of those big buck cars. Many do not have the skill or the guts to drive those cars to their capabilities.

To true - embarrassed a few of those cars last time - especially the STI & that was before my mods.
will try and get some pics of the day - maybe even a vid .

If the track is full of speed bumps, wouldn't you have a hard time not placing 1st?

You pretty much nailed it dynamho although I pwned the STI (not a good driver)
Could also keep up (not in acceleration) with the 400hp(worked) SS Commodore round the track .
Could match the Accord type R for acceleration but creamed him on breaking & cornering. The surprise for me was a Honda Integra race car - this was a lightly modified (and lightened) type R Integra . I could barely keep up with him .
We had a real fun battle for about 10 laps.

Last time on the track I got to 150-152km/hr by end of back straight - with my mods I'm now hitting revlimiter in 3rd at 165 km/hr . Think I had the most fun of anyone there though - certainly did the most laps .

I think the RX-8 should be able to play with the Type R, that will be close though

check my first post .
One mod I did before the day was to wire up a decent rpm beeper (patched it into my powermod) - made a big difference not having to watch the revcounter ......
also turned the fans on 1/2 speed

on Falken 452's 245/40/18 they seemed pretty good - the integra driver was impressed - he thought i was on slicks
No mods at all to suspension - I like it the way it is (comfortable)- perhaps I could do something to reduce body roll a bit ???
fans on with powermod also

not flash - just grounding the wire to the relay using the "aux output" .

The powermod does not have any outputs that relate to temp so I can only control it by rpm or % throttle . I set it up to come on at idle normally but can switch it on full time for track use. Think the Mazsport mod you have is better.
As far as wiring it in - hardest part is finding the right wire to tap into . Luckily i found a fan wireing diagram - pm me if you need exact details .
