Smile RX-8 winter tires

hey everyone, I'm looking to get winter tires for my 05 RX-8 for next year. I saw this on craigslist and wanted to get some of your opinions. The guys said he would give these to me for $400

Thanks in advance,
Ross

Welcome...
Yea... I would say 400 bucks for wheels and NEW tires is a good deal. Make sure the wheels fit first... just because he says they do doesn't mean that they really do.

16in rims will look small, but who cares, they're winter wheels.

If you have a manual I don't think 16" rims will fit over your brakes.

I thought about this too after I posted - sport suspension has larger brake disc and I don't think 16inch rims will clear the calipers... but that's why its important to check!

Correct - 16 inch wheels won't work with the sport suspension brakes.

ah, oh well. Thanks for the help. I wouldn't be happy if I got them and they didn't fit.
