NE New Owner

Hello all wonderfull fourm learned what to look for by reading new owners start here. This will not be my first vehicle with a rotary, I learned to drive on my dads Mazda rotary pickup(body died engine still ran in 91). I have wanted an rx-7 most of my life untill the RX-8 fell in love first sight. Come Thursday I will be the proud owner of a 2004 Velocity Red Rx-8 GT auto. Please don't criticize, less than 77,000 in my price ability, yes I would rather have a stick but I have a dubble compound fracture of my lower left arm, so im one armed while driving could be 6 months before completly recoverd. A clutch is out. This will be my daily driver so it will get driven and not stop and go traffic all highway. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

imho i would go to progressive/enterprise whatever car rental place and look into a long term rental. I just googled it really quick. but im sure better research can be done..
Long Term Car Rental - Enterprise Rent-A-Car

Im sure you have heard, since you have read around.. but i dont suggest getting an auto in the long run. aside from the largely discussed topic... horsepower... which im sure you understand since you have done more than what 80% of the new owners do... read the FAQ. People pay ~3k to get 10hp. The biggest complaint on this car is the lack of power, i wouldnt shoot yourself in the foot just yet.

Not worried about how fast she is, just as long as she handles well, looks good doing it. I think she will do. As for the auto like I said would rather have a stick but can't. On the power note my old relible(92 4cyl stang) when new had 110hp I would be lucky if right now it had 80hp. The only mods im thinking of currently are possibly eyelids on the headlights I sort of like that look, not 100% sure yet.
