Hey guys,

I was wondering, the 2004 RX8 key kinda looks like crap...and the 2005+ ones look really good.

Is it possible to use a 2005+ key remote on a 2004 if you buy a new remote?

I know this is a little thing but my 2004 remote is faded like hell anyways.

I'm pretty sure you can, you just have to program it and have it cut. I believe there is a DIY in the DIY forum about programming it.

This is covered 800 times in other posts. Search for it.

In short: it works, buy one off ebay and get it cut. Program it yourself if you have two original keys.
