Nearing the end, need your advice

Hi all,
I think my my time as an 8 owner is nearing its end. The time has come for me to get something bigger/more practical. At least that's what the significant other says. Sigh. Its been fun though, and I don't think I'll ever find another car that puts a smile on my face as much as the 8

With that said, do you think its better for me to part out my aftermarket parts or just sell it as is? Don't have much, just the JDM clear corners, mazdaspeed exhaust and mazdaspeed CAI and BHR coils and wires. I still have all my stock parts sitting in the garage. Thoughts?

part out if you have time
people dont care about aftermarket stuff so you end up getting very little back

My RX-8 works perfectly fine as a "family car" (then again I only have 2 kids)

You will not get any return on investment on aftermarket parts unless you part them out.

Putting aftermarket parts on a car does not increase its value when you sell it, & removing them does not decrease its value either.

Put the car back to "factory stock" and ebay/ craigslist the aftermarket parts if you have the time.

+1 on putting it back to oem.

Anyway, i used to live in Union City, Ca. by Alvarado blvd. and Union City blvd. on the townhouses by the corner. Went to James Logan High and used to work in Fremont, Ca. I miss the Bay Area because of all the ricers...jk, lol

How many kids do you have? I bought the RX-8 because I have 2 and it was more practical than what I had.

No kids of my own yet, thank god. But I am very close with my extended family and need to drive around the nieces/nephews grandparents, etc. Lets just say the adults are never happy when I have to drive

hi!

rx8 is quite practical, actually. but i managed to balance the not-too-practical rx8 with more-than-practical minivan. so get rx8 and minivan and you do not have worry about rx8 being unpractical. that was the trick i had to use to get rx8 approved in our family

k.
