It's officially officially over. RX-8 page pulled off the Mazda USA site.

I guess there isn't enough leftover stock on the dealer lots to keep it up on the site. Looks like the CX-5 page replaced it. The Tribute is still hanging on, though.

Sucks... but oh well, I suppose 350z and G35 owners felt the same way lol other then the fact that there was a replacement for those.

Hopefully the next car will make better use of the rotary's inherent advantages and spend less effort trying to make the rotary compensate for its inherent disadvantages. I still think a hybrid rotary would kick ***; imagine an electric motor on the rear axle providing gobs of torque off the line while the rotary keeps the torque going at high RPMs.

it was still there yesterday, i was looking at it. guess they took it down last night. i checked inventory only got 1 gt within 200 miles

hope a replacment will come soon!
