That is, unless you're planning on cutting a hole on the hood to make it functional.

Looks like it'd be a pain to get water out after washing it, or rain.

that could be difficult. some where in that other thread they disscused ways to make it fuctional.

If you recall the thermo pix thread the most heat comes from under the hood, battery engine core and rotors. Now if you get Turboed or SCed and get a vented hood then yes it will let heat out and alow cool air to pass over and in from the front as you drive. So yeah it will help keep your engine cool.
I plan on getting the hood that looks stock but has 3 vents on each side of the rotary accent on the hood.
