bit sluggish after installing d585s
So today I fitted d585 ls2 coils as part of preventive maintenance A DIY job
Another view
I bought the coils from here GM Ls Ignition Coil On Plug (D585)
The car starts first time either hot or cold no more misfires on WOT in any gear , however I feel that on WOT the RPM doesn't rise as rapidly as it used to on 4th 5th and 6th with OEM coils and the torque is a bit MIA especially on the last 3 gears . I am suspecting it's due to the dwell times maybe it's me but apart from that the car pulls very wel on the the first 3 gears and it's extremely smooth , i am premixing and using 97 RON premium fuel
The engine is in break in period and the RPM has been limited by the builder to 6000.
The engine is new with less than 500 miles on it all new internals and street ported.
Do you guys think that this behaviour is due to the dwell times ?

It could be any number of things, including your new engine maybe not being all you think it is ...
These are RX8 race settings for D585 coils known to be operating at full spec. However over time I've learned there are some D585 coils being produced that will auto-discharge earlier than 6ms dwell spec. To be safe you can reduce the settings by 25% (multiply the values by 0.75x) without any negative consequences.
TeamRX8 D585 coil dwell settings for racing based on 5.5ms @ 12V

Hello Team
Thanks for replying, The engine was running amazing before changing pulls really hard, in an hour i changed the coils and then that happened, so i am thinking this is the only different component, whilst the engine is very smooth and pulls well it's just that bit the i feel different from when how the car felt when on OEM coils.
Thanks
