After much deliberation with some good 2J clients of mine we've decided to keep with the GE motor and do the head gasket, ARP studs, and bolt on turbo kit route. This motor from what I understand can hold up near 700hp. I'm only looking for 400whp, 350whp for daily.

Can't wait. HOpe to finish by March next year.

Thanks, Rishie

Niiiice! 5sp SC300 was an alternative when I shopped the 8...but they're pretty hard to find in my area.

Sweet... Had looked at these aswell a little while ago, but super rare in my area of NB, Canada... I see quite a few of them here in Ottawa though, from stock to pretty wild, definitely nice cars!

Is the GE in it VVT-i?

Very sexy car, always had a thing for the SC300.

I'm thinking about importing a Soarer one of these days.

I vote:
GTE Bottom end swap
Supra 6 speed swap (as the stock 5 isn't THAT strong)
Some different rims =/

Other than that you would have a perfect sleeper

I shopped for an SC300 5 speed before I bought the RX-8 as well. Couldn't find a nice one (or a close one...almost went to Boston, decided against it). It's sweet Rishie, good luck with the turbo kit, it's gonna be awesome.

This car as well as myself by Feb of next year will be residing in

SIN CITY......

With all them lights over there we had to get the bling in our rims......

We're wanting this car to break the necks of all the pimps and hustlers in Vegas due to the Works blinding effects. hehehehehe........

very nice, those wheels are bangin', especially the fitment. There's a guy here in town with a black one on CCW's with a 2z in it, has something like 600hp or some crazy number, his doesn't have a kit or nothing but it's pretty sweet. I always dug those cars, yours looks awesome

Thanks guys.

Yups as soon as the 8 and its parts are sold i can put the funds into completing this vehicle.

Oddly enough i would have invested the same amount of money into both cars except this one will

1. have better fuel economy
2. easily push 400hp with minor mods.

Ya it won't handle as good but honestly i'm not gonna be driving this car fast unless going straight wangan on the freeway. When it comes to streets i'm gonna go as slow as legally possible so i can see all the panties drop in vegas. hehehehehe.....

Shhhh don't tell me wifey....
