I do not find that attractive at all! I'm VERY disappointed knowing THIS is the remake I was waiting for!! It's so much smaller then before and looks like every other car that companies are trying to produce to jump to the top of the chain!!!
The goat has become a sheep!!!!

i think it most closesly resembles (from the side) a bmw 3 series coupe. and everything about it screams "MODERN PONTIAC"

The problem with that, is if they make this into a modern pontiac, they'll destroy the front end of the car. Modern pontiacs are just boring. They take everything holden comes up with, slap their crummy front end on it, and call it a pontiac.

After seing the hi-res pics of this car, i gotta say that it must be a bitch to get into the back seats! that seem to be the one impracticallty i can find on it. other than than it looks sweet.

Agreed. I doubt it would ship with those seats though.

Wether Pontiac tacks their grill on to it or not it is still way better then what they have come up with themselves for the last 20 years (or more).
I would consider the G8 better then the Grand Prix any day and still a step in the right direction. I don't see them calling a version of the coupe Ash pictured a GTO but it could certainly be a wlecome high performance addition to their lineup.
Just the fact that Pontiac has killed the Grand Prix/Grand Am names is one of the smartest things they've done lately. This bullshit of GM (and even Ford) still trying to sell cars off of iconic ancient nameplates needs to end if they are gonna get anywhere in the future. These nameplates were definitely great cars in the past but it's time to move on.

That's one of the biggest gripes I have with the GTO. Not that I ever use the rear seats but when people do it's a real bitch getting them in and out.
If they brought it over it would be neutered hardcore. That and they'd still slap on the GTO namebadge friggin' morons. If they called it the Monaro and had a "GTO" trim if you will it would of worked out but again we dont run the joint stupid *** CEO's do.
Anyways when the G8 comes out I'll be popping in for a test drive just to test the waters if you will.

Hey now, coming from an owner of a Pontiac Grand Am, they're not half bad little cars, neither was the last gen Grand Prix. Heck the GP's 3800 motor is well supported in the aftermarket and can easily be turned into a sub 12's with a few g's, with 10's a likely possibility. That being said, while I applaud Pontiac's move to the higher performance models, I am sad to see such venerable name plates dropped for a letter/number combination. I know many Pontiac owners who agree with me too.
If they ever do bring back the GTO a TRUE GTO is necessary. None of this holden name swap nonsense. I'm talking a real GTO based off of the old designs like the Camaro and Challenger are doing now. THAT would sell.

The new Camaro uses the Aussie platform from the VE Holden Commodore/Pontiac G8.
As is this Coupe 60 Concept
