mazda to stop importing?
i work at a bodyshop and the owner came to me today (becuaseim looking into buying an rx8) and told me that buyin a mazda maynot be a very good idea because after this yr mazda will no long be importing into the usa wich would make getting parts very difficult. i called BS but she claims that she was just talking to the mazda dealer and thats what he told her along with some other companies. like mitsubishi and isuzu. i can see isuzu but there are alot of mitsubishi's and mazda's running around. i mean tahts crazy is there any truth to this? i doubt mazda would stop selling to the US but who knows.

Huge hole is huge
Use it as a way to get the car for cheaper.
"Well, if there's going to be no more importing, then nobody is really going to want the car...."*knock down price considerably*

Nor South Africa for RX-8's...
Apart from that Mazda USA have just imported hundreds of the new 2010 Mazda 3....does that qualify as a Mazda import??.....2010 CX-7, CX-9 and MX-5's
WHAT A LOAD OF RUBBISH, the US is one of Mazda's most important markets...PERIOD!
OH!!!..... and MNAO has the largest stocks of genuine replacement Mazda parts outside of Hiroshima.

I'd do what cyber said and try to knock the price down. That's what I did with my isuzu since they pulled out of the usa. I still get my parts cheap to this day so no problems with that, just able to buy the vehicle cheaper. So if and when you would get it cheaper, call mazda up and get someone on the phone to tell this person that they are not pulling out of usa then hand the phone to them, when done hang up and walk away with a big smile.
