Anybody know why, and why would you put cars outside in a paddock just to rot?
What happened to the Dealership to close it's doors.
Why weren't the new vehicles repossessed by GM?
Who cleaned the windows of the dealership...(jk)..

EDIT: Apparently the Dealership consisted of 1 man (Ray), his wife, and a mechanic, and yeah, I know this is 3 months old, but the Auction starts soon.

I was born and raised in Pierce and bought my first new car from Ray in 1963. It was a 64 Impala, 327-300, 4-speed, positrac. Sweet! I've been waiting to see this sale for 50 years. I can remember the inside of that building and setting in Ray's office ordering my '64. Then waiting for the transport to unload it. I finally picked it up on a Saturday afternoon. I'm 70 now but feel like 19. Funny how cars do that to you....Bill Schulz.

You can read the story of this family on my website or other sites. It's pretty amazing and something to be excited about. This dealership has been an Urban Legend in the Midwest for many years. So now we are actually opening a Time Capsule of history. Why they just the doors? They did and now here we are. There is more info on the website with pictures and preliminary inventory. Pretty cool.

Seems age led him to close the dealership, health problems led him to put it all up for sale.

Seems he just didn't like getting rid of cars. If new cars didn't sell, he stored it. And he didn't sell trade-ins at all. No idea how he stayed in business for as long as he did.

Amazing...I wonder if he had any kids...96..

I completely understand how he thought of them (cars) as his children/babies/.

But the fact he would park any unsold car (or trade in) in a field is also amazing, 500 in total!.

There is a lot of trading profit (cash flow) there just rotting away, must of had a good bank manager!.

Leno will buy all the good ones!
