I wish Mazda would build this...
...MX Crossport.
It would be a great match for my RX8 in the garage. It would be for my wife but it's like the RX8's younger brother or something...it looks pretty HOT! :D

Yeah...my wife loved it and it would be MUCH better than the Ford sourced SUV Mazda is selling now. I really like it but Mazda seems to be a little scared of taking the leap...oh well...

they will be selling this...probably not for a little bit but since it uses the RX-8 chassis it will be a blast...

I wished they could have done something more than that.
The Mazda 6, the new Roadster, the RX8 are good examples of retaining your marquee's design element yet each having their own unique identity.
Luckily I think Mazda already knew all about that, I dont think they will make that though, it will be redesigned just like the roadster.
Did you see the new Subaru SUV too?

Per Mazda's website they don't plan to build it...very sad, I wish they would.
I'll check out that thread you posted.
And...No, I have not seen the new Subie SUV...maybe I'm wrong but if it's the wide mouth concept I saw...I'll pass.

I watched the auto show on NBC a while back (Detroit) and they said Mazda was planning on moving that vehicle into production in some form, dunno who's information is wrong but i'd be glad if they replaced the Mazda 'Escape' with this SUV....
and oh yeah, does anyone actually buy Mazda trucks (aka Ford Ranger)?

RX-8 Chassis? more like MS6 chassis and drivetrain. AWD with turbo IC 4-banger... Production is summer - fall 2006 if I remember the schedule in the JDM mag correctly.
They also talked about the upcoming minor change for the RX-8, full revision and the RX-7. Other models were mentioned, but those are the ones i paid most attention to...

Mazda has confirmed plans to build a crossover-type sport wagon, based on the Mazda6 platform, for 2007 or 2008.
Expect it to look very much like the stylish MX-Crossport, rolled out in January at the Detroit auto show.

Ohhh boy...that would be great, but I hope it seats 5 and not 4. I already have my 4 seater, for the family (for my wife) we need at least 5 seats.
2007....boooooo
2006.....please
It would be such a sweet garage if I had a RX8 & MX/RX SUV...lol
