Looks almost identical to the previous Tiburon...
...and if that thing with the curved down headlights is a new Tibby...ouch. That concept was awesome, that thing is...bleh.
Though, the front end is pretty much identical to the current Tiburon, aside from the headlights. Maybe it's just a focus group thing.

Enough with the stupid 5 spoke wheels...
It looks fine, but nothing special. I thought Hyundai was going to attempt to seperate themselves in the design department with this one, but it's just got too much of a Accord Coupe and G35 feel to it. I don't think it looks much like the previous car, which is a shame IMO because I thought it was a very nice design when it came out.

Too boring, too heavy (3450lbs) and they are using the Mustang as a target vehicle? That can't possibly be a good sign. Will Mazda just release the Kabura already and shut these people up?

yes!! typical hyundai -- just copy other cars' design and slap your badge on it. that thing looks most like the new altima coupe (which is hideous by the way), add in a little g35 and honda accord coupe and what do you have?? the new tiburon...nice

Yeah, what business sense is there in wanting to target an iconic muscle car that's been around for 40+ years which continues to outsell all it's competitors year after year? Maybe they should target a car that sells 1 for every 20 Mustangs sold instead, like the RX8

Normally these focus groups are answering apples vs oranges comparisons on only small parts of the overall picture. It is much cheaper to use an existing product than to mock up using the feature in a prototype.
If you want to know the target vehicle then look at the target audience making up the focus group. 25% young blonde females?

Most likely they are using lots of vehicles for inspiration.......everyone knows originality is not Hyundai's strong suit. I'm sure they would like to capture some of the beauty and grace of the RX8 while tapping the raw masculinity and high sales volume of the Mustang.
