Question anyone in Singapore having problems with ground clearance?

Hi guys

was wondering if any of you here have the appearance kits added to your RX8s? Just concerned with the idea that the ground clearance might be a little troublesome to handle with the addition of the front dam and side flares.

Or any of you have any advice regarding the ground clearance of the RX8 (with or without the skirts etc). Read in a different thread about people complaining about driving out of car parks and stuff and wondered if anyone with the 8 has that problem in Singapore.

thanks!

yep, in fact my sideskirts just got up close and personal with the f**ked up shaw towers exit after catching one of the sg ffilm fest shows at Prince 1. For some ridiculous reason the kerbs are built all along that accute left bend at the exit.

Other areas to avoid for kitted/and or lowered RX8s-
Bugis Junction
Ikea
UE Square (can be done if careful)

Other bros or sisters may wanna share their own list of 'blacklisted' carparks.

Remember- when exiting and entering, the golden rule is: Always Angle!

Hi errant

Saw pics of your car in the multimedia section, very nice ride!!

Did you lower your car? Or are the MS skirts really very low? I wonder if the non-MS skirts offered by Mazda suffer the same problem...

Thanks Neon- I think this is a good thread and we should keep this going for the benefit of everyone, so that when we venture to those areas we know to look out for other options/alternative carparks nearby.

some examples of GOOD carparks include the Heeren and Wheelock place- none of those ridiculous mounds.

Melo- my car is not lowered, but its the MS sway bars i had fitted underneath
that protrude and kiss the humps- pls consider this if you are thinking about fitting that particular part.

Hi guys

errant: thanks for the info. I don't have an RX8 (yet, hopefully!) but am considering getting one in the near future. I would love to install the front lip and sideskirts (non-ms) and am a bit worried about scraping them in daily use in Singapore. But sounds like just having these additions should be "safe" so that's good news to me!
