New Member and Shoutout to other Edmonton and Area 8 owners
Hey All,
I recently bought an 8 and have some fun browsing the forums the last few weeks. There is some great information here congrats guys. There is also some very hilarious posts and sigs. I'm looking forward to contributing to the greater good ("The greater good!").
Lastly, any other 8 owners in and around Edmonton, AB? I know 8's a bit rare, especially now that there's a few feet of snow on the ground in some places, but I'm sure I've seen a few.

No, that's not me. But I've seen that one around. I saw it parked on the south-east side.
I've got stock rims like you, but no spoiler on the back. Was -28 tonight when I turned it over, rx didn't like that very much.

I know what you mean. When it got really cold, I rode the bus in the morning for fear my baby wouldn't start after work and I'd be stranded. That night after bussing, I thought I'd experiment and see whether I'd have any luck. I was amazed to find that a few seconds cranking and she started great. Ever since, I've had tremendous faith and confidence in the cold starting abilities of the Renesis engine. Just don't shut off until the coolant is good and warmed up.

Blue RX-8 daily winter driver.
Almost got smoked yesterday in the early new snow-fall when the back end of a trailer was fishtailing in front of me. Glad I kept my distance back and didnt try to pass.
