Anybody else wanna come along?
The NZ Performance Car magazine is organizing a series of park up meetings around the country and this weekend (15/02) is the Chch stop. Is anyone else keen to come and show off RX8's in numbers? I'm bringing both the 7 and the 8 as it's probably my last chance to get the two together (the 8 is on Trademe at the moment)
Anyway here's the details from the FB event...
Saturday, February 15, 2014
1:00pm until 3:00pm
Hello Southerners!
We're back for 2014 with the NZPC Summer Tour, proudly supported by the good guys and girls at NAC Insurance!
Fire up your cars and join us for a chilled out afternoon under the sun on February 15, from 1pm-3pm at South New Brighton Park. As always this is a casual get-together that is free of charge and is a great opportunity to get out there and meet like-minded enthusiasts, and hopefully get a shot or two of your ride in the magazine!
This is an alcohol and drug free meet, and as always the police are informed of the event. We can't wait to see what shows up - see you all there!

I happened to be driving home from squash training today and I'm pretty sure I saw you in the avonhead tavern car park. That sil-eighty is orange right?
Maybe this thread explains why you were staring as I went past in a yellow 6-speed.
My finger couldn't be further from the pulse really...

No, certainly not after the problems that have been found. At 1st it was just a heavy duty clutch & bits, but then it turns out the slave & master cylenders needed re-con coz they couldn't get ahold of any anywhere.
I get a call today about a light on the dash? When the re-connected the battery?
I don't know I've never had to disconnect the battery myself.
Figured it'd be a 2 day job, clutch + lowering kit, easy, should've done the lowering myself
There were a few shots of your 7 on the performance car site!

Mate I did my own clutch in 5 hours with no previous experience. I should take a day max to do all the work you want. What light came up? The traction control light will come up after you disconnect and reconnect the battery. The dsc light will turn off after you full lock the steering wheel left and right and the car doing a wee drift light will turn off the next time you start the car. If this is the case, I worry about the lack of your mechanics knowledge
I hope he gets into the magazine with the amount of work done to it, other than that photo I posted on FB lol
