Omg Espelir Gt Springs Cheap

Hey guys,

I just got a heads up on a special offer from Espelir i thought I'd announce to you guys. We setup a sale thread in our subforum.

https://www.rx8club.com/auto-rnd-91/4-sets-found-espelir-spring-blowout-%24100-00-a-99435/

I don't have photos but it's a 30mm drop front and rear. Very conservative.

Runs spring rates of:

3.8kg and 2.7kg = 210lb/in and 150lb/in.

INFO ON ESPELIR:

SUSPENSION
In accepting the challenge to develop superior suspension springs that meet governmental minimum ride height requirements while at the same time enhancing the need for road hugging good looks, ESPELIR proudly introduces LOW FORM.

LOW FORM continues the legacy of durability, refined road responsiveness, and superior technology that driving enthusiasts expect from the company that defines "Unrivaled Automotive Suspension Engineering."

Our advanced methods and experience with vehicle lowering enable us to keep a 90mm ground clearance. Our suspension give a comfortable and most importantly a stable ride.

Keep proper stroke during compression.
Less fatigue.
No loose spacing between the spring end and spring perch.
Our products utilize SAE9254 and new material SAE9254MHT (Vanadium mixed material) under strict quality control during all aspects of manufacturing - during heating of material, cooling, and winding to ensure proper stroke volume and spring lightness.

By combining high powered technology of manufacturing and real world testing on the street and track, we can produce the best suspension setting for each specific car make.

For surface coating methods, we use 3 steps of shot peening to ensure super durability of the spring. Of course, epoxy resin power coating is the finish of choice.

Let me know,

Rishie

Yes these are lowering springs with a higher spring rate, to my understanding, than stock. The drop is conservative enough where you can use your stock suspension but i'm sure it will still cause the dampers to wear faster. The best thing to do would be to get Koni adjustables or Tokico D Specs or something of that sort to mate with these springs.

That way you can adjust the overall "handling balance" of the car to your liking or driving habits. I thought I'd do a search for some information to help with this.

Here are the spring rates I found in this thread:
https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...t=spring+rates

Clearly they are not the same spring rates. i'm sure each is unique. The RB's calculate only 0.5" drop on their website, however the espelir is more like 1" drop front and rear once settled.

Stock RX8 6spd
F 155.61 lb/in
R 112.86 lb/in

Espelir
F 212.8 lb/in
R 151.2 lb/in

Racing Beat
F 187 lb/in (calculated 20% Stiffer than Stock)
R 136 lb/in (calculated 20% Stiffer than Stock)

Espelir is a Japanese Manufacturer involved in the Japan professional racing circuits. I know they aren't biting off Racing Beat. I mean how many different colors can there possibly be before you end up having the same color as another manufacturer. hehe.

Here's some shots of cars I found on their website. Note the centerlocking wheels. Dead give away of a pure track beast and level of R&D Capabilities. hehe.

BTW these springs are way more expensive than this. They would normally sell for about $175.00 or so. MSRP is $230.00.

so don't let the price make you believe they are poorly engineered products. they are overstocked and we get the priveledge, including myself to purchase these below cost. it's a great pre BIG stocking stuffer.

Hope this was informative. I just love my Espelir exhaust. I can imagine the quality of the springs.
