which of the 2 are the greatest, or should i go tein or koni?

you won't get the best for $1500

 

If that's your budget I would probably go with tokico or koni shocks with a good spring like rb or tein if you want, then front and rear sways and a good alignment.

 

for a couple hundred more (~$1800) you can get JIC FLTA2 or KW Variant 3's. out of the box i'd focus more on wheels, tires, and an alignment. that'll get you well into the game with good driving.

Best? $3000+ for Penske or Moton shocks. Springs not included. Nor corner weighting, or R&D to find the optimum alignment.

Instead of asking "what's the best suspension for $1500", ask "what will give me the most grip for $XXXX"? Or better yet, "what will make me perform best in STU for $XXXX"?
