Can anyone reccomend a good & affordable tint shop in Detroit Metro area? I've seen the work of some shops and not been too impressed..

I'm looking to get a nice dark look on the 8... Already being Black, it's got to get some black tint. Since the windows already have a slight tint from the UV coating, I'm thinking that 35% tint would probably be fine. Anyone got any reccomendations or comments on thier tint (or what they'd like thier tint to be) ? and where you got it done, and how much you paid?

Thanks,

Talk to Auto One In Roseville(on Gratiot). I think I will be going there. I had them do my Paint protection. Don't know how they tint but they have been around for 20 years or more(there).

paint protection...is that the clear plastic stuff (sorry for the terrible description) that they lay over the paint and its supposed to be super protective? How much did that run ya, and what parts of the car did you have done?

thanks!

Try Ziebart. They are great. I had a Jetta done up in Waterford and it was really good and the price was right - around $200 for 8 windows.

I don't have pictures yet (The shame!) but I got my RX-8 tinted out about 3 weeks ago (I know, it's way too long without taking a few shots).

I got it tinted at Ameristar Auto Glass. Cost $225, and they did the front 4" strip, and all the other windows. Very nice job. I didn't want to go too dark, but it still adds tremendously to the function and looks!

pictures to come after my baby gets a wash..
