Im sorry to start another thread here, but ....seeing as how Mazda is Ford owned now, and Ford DID have issues relating to power figures on their Mustang Cobra (which I believe they fizxed by mechanically curing the problem and getting the cars back to the stated figures)...would owners here be happier if they did that?

and isn't there a way for owners to begin a formal complaint/action?

Or you could just trade it in for a Cobra! :D

I guess I would take 247 hp over 500 + service.

Not necessarily because I HAVE to have that extra 8 hp, but just because I'll know for sure the car is running as designed. I'm still a little leary that Mazda had to do some kind of quick fix to meet emissions, and that is making me a little nervous about the car.

IMO i think that's what MNAO should've done...revise the emissions system to bring the car back up to spec...instead of just lowering the numbers and offer stuff and apology

As a possible owner and/or if I was a current owner I'd be more than glad to have the full hp over the $500 and free service. No doubt about it. A little Canadiana.. :)

I would definitely take the stated power of 247 over the $500. I am probably going to sell back the car because I feel that the new number of 238 is still way too high. $500 will not even buy the claimed missing 9 ponies let alone the 20 other horses that were lost in the Pacific. If Mazda were to offer an "upgrade" to the stated horsepower, I would be the first in line.

This is already being discussed in other threads, there's no need for yet another one. Closing...
