The 2nd annual Quad-State Rotary BBQ will be held Saturday, October 21, 2006 at the Spring Creek BBQ Pavilion at Ameriquest Field (formerly the Ballpark in Arlington) in Arlington, TX.

BBQ organizers are working hard to make this year’s theme, “Bigger and Better” a reality.

Thanks!! We thought about the date, but this is when the venue (which is going to TOTALLY kick butt) was available and it also allows us more time to spread the word.

If I can keep the GSL-SE running until then, I will probably go. Iwas going to go to 7 Stock, but the costs of all our activites in the fall are starting to get up there. So if I can keep the car running, and don't wreck it on the track, I will be there. Anybody up for riding up with me, or caravaning?

I just got back from a week out of town and will be gone a weekend next month also. I'll be even be at Sevenstock again this year. Taking off another weekend in such a short time may be difficult for me especially considering that if I did, I'd be gone 2 weekends in a row. I'll try to make it but am not sure if it will be possible.

I hope to actually make this one barring any more mass evacuations of Houston. Maybe Brillo, RG and I can actually make our caravan up this time!

Almost got there last year but 2 family deaths during the evacuation cut that short. Got halfway there when the news hit. I don't want any more drama like that this year. That really sucked. I just want to have fun. Seeing Tiff again would be really nice too!!!

Woo hoo! I gave out a flyer today! I saw some girl pumping her gas, BB, and I jump out of my car and run over and toldher about the q and gave her the flyer. She was pretty nice. I don't think she looked like the type to want to come, but she was pretty hot. :)

Awesome news today, After I got home from being hit in my brothers G35, I was in the passenger side hit on passenger side ok but cant hear on right side and a little sore, I looked at when my second accounting test is and sure enough it is at 1pm on the 21st!!!!!

I'm not missing this one though, I think they let you take it on the friday as well so I am doing that.

I don't know what is going on Friday night actually... The organizers haven't planned anything, but sometimes those coming in from out of town get together. If there's no scuttlebutt on activities, there's a few bars/pubs and dance places in the area, as well as some good restaurants. Try guidelive.com for some suggestions. The official hotel is in central Arlington and in the center of the metroplex so you shouldn't be too far from anything.

I know this may seem like a stupid question but what time does the BBQ actually start?

I was just thinking about this, and I want to warn everyone ahead of time. My car is going to look like a train wreck!

I am going to try to clean it up, but you can't really do anything about the hood or rims. The calipers are just a result of me being lazy!

Oh I just hit 40k! I have put 40k in 1.5 years. That's a lot of gas money...

Tiffany and I aren't organizing it this year, but maybe someone else will step up to the plate. There have been a couple of people that have asked for information from me, but I haven't heard anything since then.
