View Full Version : Midpipe and Super Cat Question sauceyI986 06-26-2006, 03:15 PM I know the midpipe voids the warr but does the super cat void the warr also on the car, RX-Hawk 06-26-2006, 04:00 PM Nothing "voids" a warranty. Red Devil 06-26-2006, 04:05 PM Neither will void your warranty unless the dealership could prove the problem you would be having with the car was directly related to that part. While your powertrain warranty *could* come into question, your suspension would still be covered. Either are illegal due to EPA regulations. But some members have passed emissions with the Supercat. sauceyI986 06-26-2006, 04:29 PM ok thank u because i was going to order the midpipe this week to go on my Greddy Exhaust System scsi 06-26-2006, 06:02 PM will the midpipe (no cat or resonator) give same or better results power wise as the supercat? will you get a CEL? sauceyI986 06-27-2006, 08:59 AM Does the 3" Midpipe Fit on the Greddy Exhaust Cat Back System..OK Fanman 06-27-2006, 12:15 PM will the midpipe (no cat or resonator) give same or better results power wise as the supercat? will you get a CEL? Maybe a hp or 2 on an NA car, but nothing noticeable. It might very well throw a CEL (about 60% chance), whereas the hi-flow cat will not, and you will pass emissions. Fanman 06-27-2006, 12:17 PM ok thank u because i was going to order the midpipe this week to go on my Greddy Exhaust System If you have the Greddy, you do know that putting a midpipe on will make this ridiculously loud right ? At least with a hi-flow cat it acts as a natural resonator and cancels out some noise, but a straight midpipe and prepare for ears bleeding & cops pulling you over. sauceyI986 06-27-2006, 03:14 PM well i see by next week when i get and put it on my car b/c some people says it loud and some people like it so i see how i will like it Moostafa29 06-27-2006, 04:39 PM It will be very loud when you first put it on, but quiet down over time. foxman 06-28-2006, 12:10 PM Midpipe vs. HF cat and gas mileage? Any thoughts? I searched but couldn't find anything... mysql101 06-28-2006, 12:24 PM I don't see any reason for it to change your fuel mileage. Mine hasn't changed since I put on a catless midpipe. foxman 06-29-2006, 03:41 PM I don't see any reason for it to change your fuel mileage.
