Magnaflow tips -- the part number is the same as another guy who did the same thing. In the end im VERY happy with how it came out. I could not justify spending 600+ dollars just to have a slightly different sound with no "nice" performance gain. I already have the sound I like anyways from my RP Supercat midpipe. :yesnod:

The stock tips were very tiny and thats one thing I REALLY wanted to fix, but i didnt want to spend all that money for a true exaust. (dont get me wrong if i had an extra 600-700 just LAYING around I'd love to get a Racing beat REV8.

Anyways - let me know what you think :)

Looks good. Same tips I have, it looks like (Rx8store exhaust). The stock tips were so small.

Looks good. I'm glad it worked well for you too.

Did the muffler shop cut the pipe behind the muffler or were they able to loosen the U clamp and take the muffler off that way?

The muffler shop had to just cut the stock pipe/tips off as they were not able to get them loose.

The sound: is freaking awesome -- its all due to my RP Supercat though... when you are in a cold start its kinda raspy and weird sounding but once it warms up its awesome. More kick and grunt then the stock. I'm sure it would sound even better if i had the Racing Beat REV8, but I will only do that once I have my Axial Flow Supercharger installed heh

Racing Beat REV8 can be bought for $620. So if you "saved $600 by NOT buying a REV8" then that means the tips and installation were only $20 :scratchhe

Not bad, I would have done that if I hadn't acquired the Greddy SP2 when I got the SR Motorsports High Flow Cat. :)

I think most of the exhausts sound raspy when the car is warming up. Isn't that from the air pump that runs when it is warming up?

Love the license plate. Try not to rob any banks in the near future though.

you have a Mid pipe good move!

But the CAT back exhaust still restricts flow and performance.

FYI too: the license plate is a photochop :-p instead of just blanking it out I wanted to be different.

I honestly don't care if people know my license plate... hundreds of strangers see if every day, so why not yall :-p I thought it would be funny to 888-888 my plate though for the pics.

I'm with Low Fly'n - curious as to the cost of the tips and the installation? That looks really good, and I'm happy with the stock system for now so I'm interested in doing this too.
