View Full Version : Lowering kits?

I would like to know what kits are available to lower the 8, and or recomended. Would a full inch be too much or just right? Personally I like the Mazda Speed body kit because it is not over the top and also gives the car a little bit more aggressive look. Lowering the car and putting this kit on, in my opinion, would look awesome. Thanx.

I don't think one inch is going to be even close to enough. The car is very high stock. I would think 2-3 inches would be more appropriate without giving the ricer look.

with the combination mazdaspeed bodykit and mazdaspeed coilovers you are left with only 100mm or about 4" of ground clearance which will be low enough for me-- I feel that withthe mazdaspeed kit you get plenty of that tucked look wi/ the 18" rim while stil being able to traverse speed bumps head on

for perspective i currently have 3000gt w/ the eibach pro springs 1 3/4" drop.

the coilovers have 20mm drop from stock.

What, exactly, does the poll have to do with the post?

And why does everyone hate green? Have you even seen it? It's really beautiful on the 8.

I don't hate the green, I think its unique. The 8 could be in almost any color and still look great. I wanted blue but when I saw red I was sold

Gee, I didn't know that this was so formal that you couldn't post a poll that basically had nothing to do with the content. BFD. I wanted to know 2 things, thought I might kill 2 birds with one stone here but I guess I was wrong. I still haven't heard of any lowering kits I might use, people are too concerned if the poll matches the post. Geeeez.

I believe you forgot to put the silver in. Not that I would consider the silver being the worst color, but you should include all the colors.

Yeah, you're right. I forgot to put that one in, I thought I was forgetting one.

I'm not sure if there are lowering springs for it yet but HKS has made a coilover set for the 8. There is a thread about it in the Suspension forum.
I'm sure in due time there will be tons of aftermarket parts for the 8, maybe not as much in North America but for sure in Japan.

Yoshi, I was just playing with you. If there was a problem, I would have just gone ahead and deleted it.

I did add silver for you to the poll, however.

the green looks crap in the pics but when you actually see it you will change your mind. I think the green is 1 of the best colors. i hate the yellow it looks cheap

Worst is a relative term. The worst Beatle was Ringo, but I liked them all. He was musically talented but the least of the bunch.

It is kind of like having a girlfriend who asks: "Who's prettier me or JLO?" Answering with JLO doesn't mean you're saying your girlfriend is ugly, but she'll probably take it that way.

BTW, I like all the colors but green was my answer.

The pre-20B photos of ACOSTARACING's 8 had a serious chop. Too much in my opinion. I would like to see about half of what they did - about 1.5in seems good.
