View Full Version : How to remove door wiring harness clip?

Hi well i was wondering how to remove the clip from the door. The clip that sticks into the car that cars door wires go thru. I tryed to pull it out but it was attached to a blue piece and couldnt find out what to do. any suggestions how take it out? i just need to turn it around b/c it was installed backwords. Thanks

hahahaha. oh boy. that clip is a royal mfer. you have to reach inside, from under the dash, and release the connector from the inside, it is a cam lock style clip. i assume that it was installed backwards by a body shop, it is hell to get reconnected, mine is still not right from when i ran my speaker wires.

aww thats not good to hear :-(. So i have to feel from under the dash or do i have to unistall things to get it off?

I took mine out by removing the rubber boot then taking 2 small screw drivers and a pair of pliers and using them in sequence to pry the little tabs down and pull and the one that goes to the door is the one that you work on that way the one going to the body stay put. It is not that bad just a few mintues and it's freed up.

I ran 2, 14 gauge sets of wires through that mfer, it was so damn hard. I spent probably 2 hours getting it back togeter :[
