I did some searching and surprisingly didn't come up w/ anything on this....

Does anyone know if it's possible to install the washer fluid level sensor on a car that doesn't have it (apparently only comes w/ the headlight pissers)?

I have an 04 and the tank is black, and the "dipstick" is next to useless... I've seen the little level sight glass that someone installed - that's cute, but it'd really be nice to have the light on the dash work...

I'd be surprised if the wiring for the sensor and the LED in the dash weren't already present....

Wouldn't it be cheaper to buy a new washer tank that is clear?

 

Maybe, but I'm betting the tank ain't cheap...

Didn't have time to look at my car last night to track down the wiring, but, if the wire and the LED are already there, I'm sure I can cobble a cheap sensor together to trigger it.

If it works out I'll post it in the DIY section.
