This few days, I felt some problem with my clutch.
When I step on my clutch, change the gear, as I release my clutch, it feel so weird, it's not smooth, the feeling is like there are something rub on a rough surface.
Anyone know what's going on with my clutch??

what car did you drive before? i drove a civic before i drove this car, and the clutch was weird at first because i grew accustomed to the civics clutch, but i got used to it.

After some break in, the clutch will feel a little bit different say compared to when you first got the car. I also notice how smooth when I first got it, but now, it's not that smooth. I think it's normal, unless you experience shattering or loud noise, then I would be worry.

In my experience the shifting usually gets smoother in most cars as they break in... Better to let your dealer know sooner rather than later about the problem, I've heard a few stories about clutches going out under 5k miles on other cars. If in fact there is a problem it sounds like it might be synchro related.

My clutch is getting smoother by the day. The more miles I'm putting on it, the smoother it's getting.

same with mine...well, maybe not smoother per se, but i'm getting used to it's "newness" and can drive the car a lot smoother than when i first got it...either way it's not getting worse nor rougher than when i first got it...go get it checked out

I too felt the wierd release sensation...sort of like stepping off a sponge. Started around 300 mi but now that I'm past 600 it seems to have gone away. Also I let my fiance train on the new clutch for a little (I'm trying to teach her manual) so may have caused this. But its all good now.

How many miles do you have on her?

Clutches (manual) often need adjusting soon after fitting.

Dunno if the RX-8's is auto adjusting or not, or how well auto works.

Usualy not a big problem.

Yes.

I DONT KNOW if the RX-8 has an auto adjusting clutch or not, but its worth getting the dealer to check it out as it may not be fully engaging or something.

I think they do have auto adjust
since they call the clutch as
"auto adjusting hydraulic clutch"
