Hey whats goin on everyone, Hopefully by the end of tonight ill be the proud owner of a new black rx8. Im switching to this car from an 01 Gti 1.8T, i was wondering if there are any minor upkeep changes, like fuel for example, in my car i had to put 93 oct and the salesmen at mazda was telling me that the preferred fuel for the rx8 is 91 oct? Is that true or not? Also I was looking for some mods i could do that wont rape my wallet but will allow me to atleast keep up with my friends 06 Z on the highways :)..... Im sorry if u all get like 30 posts like these every day, but id really appreciate ur help!

87, 89, 91 is fine. There is said to be some loss in performance with going lower, but also some have shown better mileage with lower octane. If knocking starts however, you should go back to 91 for a while.

To keep up with a Z on the highways... that's a tough one. We don't really have mods that will drastically change the power of the car. Don't worry about the highways, take it to the curves. :)
