In the process of removing my airbox, I broke a plastic nipple. Can anyone identify this piece and exactly what it's purpose is?

I just didn't want to buy a $150 part or something just to avoid the CEL. StealthTL 02-13-2006, 09:09 PM Yep, that's the accumulator. If you are removing it, plug off the vacuum source under the throttle body, but leave the electrical connector hooked up to the solenoid (sounds complex, but pretty obvious if you look at the system) the computer MAY monitor whether the coil is working or not, avoid a possible CEL. S KJ238 02-14-2006, 01:38 AM What's the VFAD used for? Shud this still be on if i have a aftermarket air-filter? I have a round thingy still connected... Should i remove it |
