And my delivery to dealer has been changed to 3rd week of august vs 4th week..photo is of the same setup i ordered..getting closer!!! emailists 08-14-2003, 12:52 AM I only put the down payment on the car less than 2 days ago- and it was slated for 4th week Aug, so I bet it's here. I was planning on pre ordering in the winter- even negotiated a $1600 of MSPR- then I got cold feet I toyed with the idea of getting a hatchback SAAB 93, (I really love my Probe GT hatch) AFter seeing the 8 at in the NY Auto show (The only reason I went) I was really impressed, but still unsure. AFter reading here about people getting their cars and loving them- then test driving 2, I decided to get the 6speed- though I was shopping for an automatic. hope I don't regret it- since I live and drive mostly in manhattan. h0rde 08-15-2003, 10:36 PM my car arrived at port august 4th, and i don't know when it is supposed to show up at the dealer. i'd sure like to know though, because i leave for school on august 22nd... r0tor 08-17-2003, 01:25 PM mine showed up at the dealer totally unexpected last tuesday... wasn't expecting it until a week or so from now which meant I didn't have anything ready (insurance/loan) and didn't pick it up till that thursday..... but i'm not complaining :p fossil187 08-17-2003, 02:11 PM I finially got to talk to someone at mazda about my car it left port (japan)on the 30th of july they had a estamated deliver the 1st week of sept and my car was going to the port in jersy. I sure hope mine was on the ship that just got to jersy. I'm finally starting to see some light at the end of this tunnel. Tell me how you guys fair out with getting yours :) Shocka 08-17-2003, 03:58 PM Originally posted by emailists AFter seeing the 8 at in the NY Auto show (The only reason I went) I was really impressed, but still unsure. I've been driving mine in stop and go traffic mostly, and my husband even got stuck in Beltway rush-hour traffic for two hours in it last week. No problems at all. And, our gas mileage (even with the beltway mess) jumped up to 19mpg. This is truly one of the easiest sticks I've ever driven, in spite of some reports. You won't regret it at all, and when/if you're ever out of Manhatten driving it, you'll be VERY glad you got the stick. |
