Schedual 1 vs Schedual 2 maintence record

hi all

love the forum, ive been reading a lot about oils the synthetic vs dino oil... anyways I'm sitting at 11,600 miles, and am at a cross road wether to do the schedual 1 maintence or schedual 2, my situation for driving is a bit different, I dont do any of the things schedual 2 mentions but I do generally drive about 800 miles a week (for work)

Since I put so many miles on the 8 in a week, should I follow schedual 2? or stick to schedual 1?

My thoughts right now are to wait until I hit 12,000 miles this weekend and take it in to get oil/filter changed.... at which time I will hopefully be switching to Royal Purple 5W20. And then 3000 miles later repeat, which would put me at 15,000 miles, at which point I was thinking about sticking to a 5000 mile oil change interval with Royal Purple going in every time.

Thoughts? Suggestions welcome!

Cheers,
jeff
