I'm from germany, so please be patient if my english isn't the best

Things I'd like meet in the RX-8:

1. MP3 Capable Radio
2. optional DVD GPS System with should be capable to play Video DVDs
3. Dynamic Criuse Control (like the new Mercedes CL)

Don't get me wrong, I don't wan't the RX-8 to be pumped up with too many fancy comfort stuff. But I'd like to buy a car which combines a fresh sporty design with good handling and a powerful engine which also offers some up-to-date gimmicks to its costumers.

What does the Mercedes CL cruise control have the normal cruise controls don't?

Not only does it set the speed, it will slow you down if you come up on someone, so you maintain a safe distance from the car in front of you. I think it uses radar to judge distance, but don't quote me on that.

Edit - its also pricey. I'll gladly hold down the gas pedal for the cost savings. And I do a lot of highway driving.

yea, i'd actually like to see a dvd nagigation thingy there, that would be able to play, cdr, cd-rw, mp3, and dvd.. that would be great...


or if not with a screen, some head unit that will play thsoe types of discs.

 

Regardless of whether it uses radar, sonar, or infrared for that function, it will be beaucoup expensive onna 30K car.
