For the people who go to track days and mount their camera. What do you use to do it? I'm going to a track day in december and wanted to get some videos of it.

I've been thinking it'd be interesting to find a way to use the rotary shape int the passenger seat to fit some kinda mounting thing in there. it would have good perspective but the only problem would be if it's too high or shakes too much...

you need to check the rules with the sponsor of your event. In my experience, which is limited, NASA will not allow anyhting that is not waht they called a positive mount, or something that is connected physically to the car, i.e. no stickypod, or suction mounts.

I went to home depot, and bought a piece of 3/4" square aluminum, about 3 feet long. I fastened it to the rear deck, between the rear seats, in three places, and then connected the base of a suction mount to the other end. this was ll done with simple tools, and it works really good. it is very stable, not much vibration, and gives a good between the seats perspective.
