When starting up the RX-8, do you get a slight hesitation before the engine kicks in... (almost like the battery is weak)

i believe this is normal. They do it so the oil injectors can spray the seals before the engine starts. Rx7's do the same thing.

I think that is normal. Mine turns over the same way. It sounds so good when it turns on.

I'm glad you guys answered that, I was worried that something was seriously wrong when I start it.
