Hey guys

Today after work, I started the car and noted a high pitched whining/whistle/whirling noise (almost like a dentist drill but not as loud). The pitch didn't change when I applied gas or change gears. Tried the AC but that didn't affect it either. Today was the first day below zero Celcius (lower than 32F) here if that helps. I got out of the car and didn't hear any noises from the exterior. The noise doesn't change regardless of being in gear or in neutral. The noise goes away immediately when I shut off the engine. I can't pin point where it's coming from.

Any ideas?

 

I have the same problem with the whistling noise. It doesnt do it all the time, but enough to bother me.
