My dealer told me when I picked up my car that there are 1500 X-men cars being made. They placed their order for one just before I got there. Can anyone else confirm?

They said that the market for them is going after the Rich kid.

First I heard of it. Anyway, the X-men car was an rx-7 in disguise. I'm sure people would welcome a new limited addition of the 7. ;)

I thought it was an RX-evolve So Sputnik would be right with a pre-production RX-8 Lates but I do like that spoiler much more the the stock RX8 one.

That spoiler is no more functional than a shark fin.

I read in a magazine that the X-men kit is available in Asia.

Does anyone know what size those wheels were? Its just that they look quite large in that photo.

actually they used 2 in the movie, one with no motor, which was actually an 8, and the one that was driveable was an rx-7 with body panels to look like the 8. this was due to not having the motor ready at time of filming.

The only things I really like on that car is the strakes, rear fog light, white fender signals and those silver bars in the front going across (each side) amd most are available.

While they might have had some mockups in addition to the RX8 body, I really don't think that Mazda is going to release similar mockups as a special edition.

The X-men RX8 that made the auto show rounds, such as the LA auto show, was a pre-production RX8.

Also, notice the color of the X-Men Car. It is not the winning blue. So, unless you plan on repainting your car it doesn't seem worth it to buy all of the mods. But that's just my opinion.

I recieved some bad news about this edition of the RX-8:
"In regards to your inquiry, Mazda has no plans on producing an X-Men 2 version of the RX-8.
