Hi all, I'm wondering if there is a set of springs out there that will level out my 8 because right now the front is up about 1.5-2.0 inches higher than the back. I'm guessing this is about the norm and I don't want to buy some springs that will lower the car and I still have the front sitting higher than the back. I would really like to level out the car based on the rear heighth right now. So I guess I'm asking if the ones that have used the Eibach, Tein, etc...... springs have gotten this end result of having the car leveled out or would it be better to get a set of the Tein Basic coilovers so that I have control on how low the front and rear go so that I know I'll be able to get the end result that I want.

By the front being higher than the back, do you mean the gap in the fender? If that's the case, then you'll want to look at Tein H-tech or S-tech springs, as that brings the front down more than the rear thus making the 'gap' the same. Eibach and Tanabe tend to lower the car a similar amount front and rear.

H-techs drop the front a notable amount and the rear very little, so that might be just what you are looking for. And the handling improvement is quite nice. Especially with Konis, but I'm not sure if you are looking to go that far with it?

The Tein Basics also work very well, and give you the option of changing the height of course. Tein's recommended settings tend to work the best, and they recommend dropping the front about 1.4" and the rear about .7". That's where one of our cars is set, and it looks just right as far as we're concerned.

Wow... That's a big difference... 1.5 - 2 inches difference seems like a lot to me, I've got the Eibachs on mine now and it looks dead even to me... If it really is a 2 inch difference, you might also wanna go to your dealer and check out to make sure everything is put together properly... Just a thought.

 

I would say go with Tein S-techs. I love my Tanabes, but the gap in the front is noticeably larger than the rear. But you'll get better handling with almost any aftermarket spring choice.
