ok just got my Billy Boat Performance RX8 CAT TEST PIPE put on, i cant hear any thing diffrent from when the cat was on. i am running the greddy turbo and SP2 exhaust. can someone clue me in on why members say its to loud.. did i have something not hooked up right.

"too loud" is an operational definition.

i've been in a ported 8 with no cat and you still can't hear the motor with the windows down on the freeway.

yea, if you ran the same test pipe na, it be pretty loud, sometimes even unbearable. Turbo usually make the exhaust flow more effecient so its more toned down vs. na where it sounds like a lawnmower.

turbo = good muffler :D

For example, there's quite a difference between an exhaust-less Turbo FC vs an exhaust-less na FC

but the compression has a lot to do with it too. high compression turbo motors are still loud as hell!!

Also,
Your test-pipe may still have a silencer in it. I know of a few other manufacturers who's replacement mid-pipes still have silencers.
