After putting in 19x8.5 Konig Unknowns and TEIN Type Flex suspension, the airbag warning, ABS and tire pressure gauge lights light up if I don't turn off the DCS. Any ideas why? Do I just need to reset the computer?

Or they may have screwed up a sensor when they installed the wheels..... Or the system may be defective...having nothing to do with the wheel/tire combo...... Razz1 09-22-2005, 12:00 AM There's a bolt on each side in the rear that monitors the height. Remove and reinstall. Then disconnect the battery and reset the ECU. Do a search to find the bolts. Leo101ABN 09-22-2005, 12:27 AM sounds easy enough, thanks for the info. Don't suppose you where the 40hp loss is between the AT and MT versions? Had to get an auto due to "work related injuries" Basically, the AT engine, referred to as the "standard" engine, has different porting from the "high powered" engine found in the MT. tuj 09-22-2005, 09:04 AM Basically, the AT engine, referred to as the "standard" engine, has different porting from the "high powered" engine found in the MT. That's right. The AT is a 4-port engine versus the 6-port on the MT. Also, the MT has a higher redline. AT users could probably get back some power if they could rev to 9k. RX8PDX 09-26-2005, 05:30 AM They would also damage the transmission if they did. The reason it is only a 4-port is because the other 2 are not needed, since the transmission cant handle the RPM's. Though I have heard that wont be an issue in the 06 AT? tuj 09-26-2005, 11:13 AM That's what I meant: if the auto trans. could handle 9k, the auto. would have more power. |
