Painting seat mid section using leather paint

Hi guys

I have a black RX8 and was thinking about painting the mid section of the seats in red using leather paint.

Anyone ever used leather paints ?

Any tips ?

Search for posts by WHealy... he dyed several interior pieces blue. Might work on the leather seats too, but I'm not sure how durable that would be.
