Exclamation Suspension Noise

I've recently noticed a clickling/popping sound coming from the driver's side tire area that occurs during normal cornering procedures and when driving down a bumpy road at normal speed. Could this problem be related to the control arm/ball joint recall?? If not any other ideas?? Has anyone else experienced this problem?? Mine seems to be getting worse with time. Any input/advice would be greatly appreciated, as I'm currently unable to visit the dealer for at least another 2 weeks. Thanks in advance for your thoughts......

I found my brake shields were too close to the discs and would bang against them over bumpy roads. I bent them away a bit and took care of 95% of the problem. I still get some noise over big bumps, but it's rare.

Is the noise coming from the front or the rear tire area? I had a weird popping noise coming from the rear of my car which turned out to be the right rear shock. Replaced under warrantly, no problems since.

I recently developed a noise on my right rear area as well. Unfortunately I'm not sure I can take it to the dealership, as I have coilovers, and sway bars. I'm really not sure what it is, but I didn't notice it until coming back from sevenstock8. I only hear it at slow speeds, but it sounds like everytime the wheel turns its banging on something. Its starting to creep me out. I tried tightening everything yesterday, and ended up breaking one of the bolts on the rear sway bar. So now I have to get that replaced, which I'm not too worried about. I just really want to know what the sound is!

If the TSB does not help then....
I had a similar noise on a different type of car. Turned out to be the swaybar links - the ball joints wore out.

I've definetly been experiencing some strange suspension noises, haven't have the chance to take it in lately. Mine is coming from the rear, mostly right rear. Sort of a tight, tense noise when going low speeds, and a random knocking noise from the rear. Very strange, makes me nervous.

i had the popping noises after i installed my ms sway bars, after some advice I found out that one of the bolts at the endlinks was not fully torque to spec, torque it to spec and put some lubricant around the joints and the noise was gone.

Now to get rid of the squeaky wheel noises from the rear...

I have the same noise. When i go in a counter clockwise circle at 5 mph or less i can hear clicking noise on the front driver side. I can even feel it on the steering wheel. I too will be taking my car in for service. Any updates on your 8 misterwilson007?

Have you looked at the conclusion to my "Front Suspension Rattling" thread? Read the Nov 04 thread. It has the finally to my problem. I don't know if it's the same noise.
