I just wanted to share my experience so far while at the dealership.

I dropped my '05 off at the dealership to get a few extras put on, while it was there I left them with the Mazda recall information for the gas tank and Flash update. They looked it all over today and contacted Mazda. They were told that my car is not effected by the recall (Build date 03/05) which he said didn't mean anything as far as the recall. He also said that the flash is not available yet and that when it is I should get a letter from Mazda.

I don't really believe all of that, but that is all I have to go on from these guys. I pick the car up tomorrow and I hope to get a bit more clarification in person.

Any input or thoughts are welcome.

my input is- wait until you get the letter in the mail then make your appointment.

Hasn't this already been discussed in the recall thread? The time frame for repairs,the new flash and what vehicles are affected.

I didn't see it, but then again there was a lot in there. I just figured that while it was at the dealer I would give it a try since I was in the group 2 and figured I would try to get a jump start
