I few months back, someone in this sub-forum said they used the latest maps from a lincoln Navigator in his NAV system since the Mazda/Navteq Drama is going to delay a new map release til the end of time. Does anyone know if he had success using those maps on our NAV system? There are a bunch of people on this forum who would like to know...

i woulde think thier is No Proplem since its the same thing unite they are using and same DVD mazda 3 cd dvd works in my car and i woulde think it will work with the rx8 too :)

Is the Mazda 3 DVD newer than the 8's? If so, and if it works, then maybe we should just get the Mazda 3 DVD. I am going to see if I can drive to a Lincoln dealer and see if they will let me pop the Navigators DVD into my 8's NAV system..

He says it works... but i havent tried it yet... I'm still using the outdated Mazda/Navteq DVD...
