Can't stand the stupid warnings on the sun visor saying I could die by the airbags. I want them gone but they appear sunscreened on. Anyone have any good ideas how to remove them?

uhhh...get an after market jdm sunvisor...yea...thats it...i hear it adds 10hp too.

I removed the visors from the car and sprayed them with CRC non-chlorinated brake cleaner from Auto Zone or Advance Auto. It took a couple rounds of spraying and wiping but they came completely off without discoloring the visor. Yep- I was the one who posted that the brake cleaner worked great in that old thread- it just melts the silkscreening off with no harmful side effects (except to my own health I'm sure : ). Just make sure you remove them from the car and spray it in a well ventilated area... that stuff is really hardcore.

Take the visors out of the car B4 doing the cleaning. :) I did mine in about 15 minutes - looks way better.

i got the warning lables from ebay that go over airbarg warning and have a picture of the ren motor and a really cool saying on them

I thought about using brake cleaner but was afraid it would melt the plastic. Good to hear that it didn't on yours. Will try it this weekend. Thx all.

Yep- I was the one who posted that the brake cleaner worked great in that old threadThanks for that, I did this a few months ago per your advice in that thread and it worked great. I had tried several other methods with no success.

I did have a bit of a scare though. I sprayed the brake cleaner on and let it sit for a little while then I proceded to wipe off the sticker and it just smeared around. When I looked at the paper towel it was grey. I thought this was the plastic melting and I got really nervous that I just screwed up my visor. Then I realized it was just the black ink and white ink from the sticker blending together. So don't panick if you run into that. I sprayed tons of that stuff on my visor and it didn't leave behind any unwanted marks so go nuts.

For the second visor I soaked a cloth in brake cleaner and let it sit on the sticker for about 10 minutes, it was much easier to get off. I recomend this method rather than spraying the sticker and trying to wipe it right off. This works but takes a long time and a lot of elbow grease to get some of the yellow paint off. If you let it soak the sticker kind of crumbles apart.

Its amazing how much better this makes the interior look. Those ugly ass stickers really stood out. Good luck.

Now this is what this site is good for. Those labels have annoyed me since the day I bought the car. And they were right there in front of my face all the time. :mad: I would never have the nerve to attack them with something that might dissolve the entire visor. But I followed your tip and :D Wow! no labels!

i did it and used "goof-off" its a highly alcohol fume giving substance ill give it that and completely took it off with no visible side effects or discoloring, here are some pics so i inspire people to take theirs off to, it was the first mod i did and had some fun, took like 15mins but i did it in my car and left the windows open for a night or so and i didnt smell any fumes after it, but use a towel you dont care about cus it gets fume-ish and the remaints of the label end up on it.

You can also buy some 3M adhesive remover from your local auto parts store.

That's what it is made for. Then you can also use it when you debadge your car.
