I'm in the VA area and looking for someone with a turbo 8. I want to know what a turbo 8 can do first hand so I can deside on going that route. Of course, I'll have a bunch of maintenance questions and stuff. :rolleyes:

I have never had a turboed car (NA b4 a bolt-on snail) before nor have I ever been in one. I've heard of some being a pain while others drove their car everyday with no problems and little maintenance.

I guess I'm really considering this because I just recently rode in an RX-7 TT puttin down 233whp. Not much when looking at numbers, but DANG that thing pulled. Not as strong as the Supra TT w/480whp I've been in, but freakin close.

Anyway, PM me if someone's willing to help out.

There is almost always at least one turbo 8 present. I think last meet there was mazdamaniac's, and a greedy turbo'd 8.

I don't see how a nearly stock FD pulls almost as hard as a 480whp Supra but to each his own. Good luck getting a ride sounds like theres 2 in your area, I wouldn't expect them to be quite like your ride in an FD but they are probably quite fun nonetheless.

Well, the Supra weighs a good 500 lbs more than the FD, so there is a lot to over come there.

Right now my car feels like my Eclipse did before I put the cams in it.

It doesn't come close to my 7, but I'm looking to boost it up to feel near that - I have nothing other than the turbo kit, so I'm looking to max the stock injectors and get steady boost all the way to redline (instead of a drop in boost like the kit seems to do).
