I am up for thr 15k service, but the dealer quotes 240$ to do the whole thing. Tire rotation, and even the oil change i can do myself. I would think changing the airfilter wouldnt be that hard either, but its the brakes service that they do that costs the $$. Is this reasonable to just pay the 240$ and get it done? Another thing is my rear breaks are beginning to squeal a little, but not as bad as some other people, so I dont know if the TSB would cover that.
Any help:)
thanks

Air filter cost you probably 30 bucks and the brakes if you play your cards right could get replaced under the TSB, if not brakes should not be even close to used up by 15k miles anyway, I would say do it all yourself and save $150 or so.

My dealer made it clear to me the TSB only covered the front brakes. Luckily only the front brake pads were squeeking on my car.. ;) (The dealer had replaced the rear brake pads and resurfaced the rotors right before I bought my 8... so as of 16k miles I have new brakes)

AlphaP- Where did you get quoted from? I'd recommend Frank from Byers. I think $240 is too much. I paid $77 w/ a coupon for my 15K. PM'ed ya.
