What tire pressure should I run? I have the stock 18" rims and tires. I drive mostly around town. I noticed the manual says 32 lbs. Any other suggestions?

Ride smoothed out a bit (can't hear or feel all the tiny cracks in the asphalt as much anymore). Handling felt a little different also, but cannot describe in words how it changes. Good or bad, dunno. Still daydreaming about new wheels and tires anyways, so not too concerned with premature wear and tear. Any other takers? Urchin 04-29-2005, 11:48 PM I do 35 lbs on all four. Generally do that on all our cars. Raz0rama 05-03-2005, 06:08 PM as long as you're under 50psi your fine (max load according to sidewall of tire is 51psi) I find that between 40 and 45 is comfortable and least road noise/ doesn't trip the tpms either so its fine. Im_DANomite 05-03-2005, 06:09 PM 40 and 45?? wow...that's really high. midlife crisis 05-03-2005, 06:13 PM I had bumped the stock Bridgstones up to 35 and I thought it plowed in corners or was this only the fact it was under 40 F?? tuj 05-03-2005, 07:11 PM Best handling I got (for autox) was at 40 all-around cold. Heated up to 47 front, rear stayed around 42. At those pressures on the stock tires, the suspension seems to use the front tires more effectively, making the car much more neutral. (Note I also have rb front bar and autox alignment). slllygrl10 05-04-2005, 01:03 AM I have 19's and I put 38-39 all around staggered wheels. RX8-CARL 05-04-2005, 01:11 AM Over or under inflated tyres just cause extra wear. 32 psi should be fine, a few psi + or - should be OK.
