If you're talking about getting the Geddy turbo and having the dealer install it, I still think it would still void the warranty. I doubt they'll even want to install it. If they did, they will probably void it anyways.

My guess is the only way that the warranty would be valid is if it was a Mazda-made turbocharger or supercharger and they install it. Of course we haven't seen that yet.

Of course, this depends on how cozy you are with your dealer tech.
Anything is possible if they want to play.

What about the warranty do you want?

In modern vehicles, most of the costly items, such as drivetrains, are pretty well designed and manufacturer. Smaller items may broke down more often. Personally, I rather have fun than worry about the warranty.

Think about it in another way. When you put a turbo into the RX8 in 5 years and it breaks your tranny. Well it probably would've broken your tranny whether you had the warranty or not. In the end it makes no difference whether you put the turbo into when the car was under warrant or not. It would've cost you the same amount of the $$$ to replace the tranny.

That's my $.02
